Projects, programmes and portfolios are not managed by robots. Thus, executing them efficiently and effectively requires skilful and competent project, programme and portfolio managers. One of PMAI key objectives is to provide managers with the knowledge, tools and techniques necessary to manage their projects or programmes successfully.
Organisations’ performance is mainly tied its practices. Organisation’s practices shape its management and culture, define its service processes and quality standards and the value of its services. Poor project management practices lead an organisation to have poor service quality and effectiveness and low customer satisfaction and retention. One of PMAI key objectives is help organisation adopt best practices to achieve performance excellence.
Among many factors, capacity building and infrastructure development have proved to be key facilitators for achieving economic growth worldwide.
